WINONA — New Americans will once again be welcomed into the Winona community as part of the seventh annual Project FINE (Focus on Integrating Newcomers through Education) luncheon.

The event begins at noon Monday at Central Lutheran Church in Winona with an "all-American meal" followed by a short program welcoming new naturalized citizens in the community. New citizens will have the opportunity to register to vote and get information on polling places.

Through the years, Project FINE has welcomed more than 80 new citizens, helping them with their U.S. Citizenship exams and providing support through educational programs and information on community services.

Anyone wishing to attend the celebration can contact Project FINE at 452-4100 or learn more at www.projectfine.org.
