ST. CHARLES — What’s on Wednesdays?

St. Charles has the answer. On the first and third Wednesday of each month this summer, a local group including the St. Charles Chamber of Commerce, the Farm-to-Table Committee and the city will host “What’s on Wednesdays” events.

The twice-monthly events will be held at City Hall Park, the green space behind city hall. The events run from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Wednesday’s WOW will include live music by Royal T. Food vendors including Woodshed Pizza, Bob’s Smokestack Ribs, the Popcorn Lady, Indian-inspired foods by Infuzn and Lift Bridge root beer. There will also be inflatables, giant yard games, and the farmers market.

Lindsay Gust, one of the organizers, said each WOW will feature a different theme. For example, June 19’s WOW will be a summer safety night, with St. Charles Fire Department conducting blood pressure checks and conducting a mock drill.

Other nights include a color guard and dueling pianos, a farm night, diversity night and classic cars on Aug. 21.

“Everything is free,” Gust said, though that does not include the vendors. “But the music, the games, it’s all free. Bring a blanket, find a spot and enjoy yourself.”
