Lois L. 'Odie' Christensen -- Rochester

ROCHESTER -- The funeral for Lois L. "Odie" Christensen will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Byron United Methodist Church with the Rev. Butch Lewellin officiating. Burial will be in Byron Cemetery.

Mrs. Christensen, 76, of Shorewood Campus in Rochester, died of cancer Monday (June 17, 2002) at Seasons Hospice.

Lois Lorraine Hadbavney was born Nov. 28, 1925, in Rochester, and graduated from Rochester High School in 1943. In 1950 she married Wesley Christensen at Christ United Methodist Church in Rochester. The couple lived on a farm near Byron for many years. Mr. Christensen, a rural mail carrier in Byron, died in 1975. Mrs. Christensen worked at the Mayo Clinic for more than 40 years. She lived at Shorewood Campus for the past year. She was a member of Byron United Methodist Church and enjoyed reading and bowling.

Survivors include one sister, Mary (Robert) Dever of Mitchell, S.D.

Friends may call at the church one hour before the service on Thursday. Macken Funeral Home in Rochester is in charge of arrangements.
