Loraine H. Richason -- Rochester

ROCHESTER -- A memorial Mass for Loraine H. Richason will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Pius X Catholic Church, with the Rev. Paul Surprenant officiating.

Mrs. Richason, 59, of Rochester, a retired Mayo Clinic employee, died Saturday (July 13, 2002) at Saint Marys Hospital.

Loraine Gabriel was born Jan. 19, 1943, in Detroit, Mich., grew up there and later lived in Wayne, Mich., before moving to Rochester in 1974. In 1997 she graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Superior with a bachelor of arts degree. Mrs. Richason was employed at the clinic and retired in 2001. She married Frank M. Richason Nov. 25, 1966, in Detroit. He is a retired IBM employee. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband, three sons, Raymond (Diane) of Eagan, Minn., and Jack and Brad, both of Minneapolis; three daughters, Mary Wilson of Burnsville, Minn., Gloria (Colin) Sharp of Woodbury, Minn., and Lynn Richason of Rochester; five grandchildren; six brothers and five sisters. Two brothers and a sister preceded her in death.

Friends may call an hour before the service Friday at the church.

Ranfranz Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
