Lorraine Kersch Ouren -- Wabasha

WABASHA -- A funeral Mass for Lorraine Kersch Ouren will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Catholic Church in St. James, Minn., with the Rev. James Berning officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in St. James.

Mrs. Ouren, 80, of Wabasha, formerly of Rochester, died Sunday (Oct. 13, 2002) at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester.

Lorraine Kersch was born Nov. 22, 1921, in Rochester. On July 26, 1941, she married Arne Ouren in New Ulm, Minn. Mrs. Ouren was a custodian for the St. James public school system for many years. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, Council of Catholic Women and Catholic Daughters.

Survivors include six daughters, Mary (Terry) Kos of Rochester, Susan (James) Lindsay of St. Paul, Linda (John) Snell of Huron, S.D., Barbara (Pat) Nosbush of Wabasha, Kristen (John) Huth of Shakopee, Minn., and Theresa (Tom) Westcott of Minneapolis; three sons, John (Nancy) of Huntington, Calif., Jerry (Jan) of Perham, Minn., and Noe (Marsha) of Papillion, Neb.; 23 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a grandson, a great-granddaughter and a brother.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Sturm Funeral Home in St. James and an hour before the service Wednesday at the church. There will be a Christian wake service at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Sturm Funeral Home.
