Lourdes groups to perform at convention

From staff reports

The Lourdes High School Percussion Ensemble and Winter Drumline will perform Friday at the Minnesota Music Education Association Convention in Minneapolis.

The 36 students in the percussion and drumline groups will perform at 3:30 p.m. in the Minneapolis Convention Center. They also will offer a clinic to Minnesota band directors on developing and managing percussion sections.

This is the third time the association has invited Lourdes music ensembles to perform at the convention. The Lourdes Choir performed there in 2005, and the school’s Center Street Singers performed in 2003.
