Lourdes, JM claim tennis victories

Rochester Lourdes' Ben Habermann and Brian Welch had to make comebacks at No. 2 and No. 3 singles to help the Eagles get a 5-2 win over Winona in non-conference boys tennis Monday.

"The guys battled hard and came back to win," said Lourdes coach Kevin Rust. "Winona has a nice club, and everyone played hard."

JM tops Winona Cotter

Rochester John Marshall won four three-set matches in a 5-2 win over Winona Cotter on Monday.

"We are either in better shape or mentally tougher right now," said JM coach Dave Edwards.

JM is 4-2 overall and plays Rochester Century today.
