Sam Macken's double propelled Rochester Lourdes to a 2-1 win over Kasson-Mantorville on Monday in Hiawatha Valley League softball.
Macken's double came in the fifth inning, when Lourdes scored both its runs. Hannah Nelson got on base first, on a K-M error. That was followed by a single by Nicole Nelson, before Macken came through with her heroics.
Morgan Maiers allowed just three hits, but walked four. K-M had runners on first and third in the seventh, when Jen Herberg hit a line shot to Macken who caught the ball and relayed to first for a double play, ending the game.
