Records: Both teams are 1-1. This is the final non-division game. Next week Lourdes heads into Blue Division play while Triton plays in the Gold Division.
The game: Last year Lourdes won the Blue Division with a 4-1 record while Triton shared the Gold Division crown with Byron, also with a 4-1 record.
Last week: Stewartville surprised Triton 3-0 in overtime. The Cobras outgained Stewartville, 211-112 in yardage but were stopped several times inside the Tiger 20 on fourth-down plays. Triton has only scored 14 points in two weeks. Lourdes turned back Pine Island 28-8 for its first win. Senior Ted Garry scored two touchdowns and rushed for 124 yards in the win.
Last meeting: Lourdes won its third straight game to start the season last year, defeating Triton, 22-15. The Cobras turned it over six times, one fumble and five interceptions.
The series: Last year's win was the first by Lourdes in four meetings.

About Lourdes: Lourdes broke loose against Pine Island, scoring a touchdown in each quarter. Ted Garry ran a kickoff back 92 yards on the game's first play and the rout was on.
About Triton: Don Henderson is in his 13th year with Triton, and along with Ivan Kroulik of Kasson-Mantorville, is the longest-tenured coach in the Hiawatha Valley League. Marv Peters of Lourdes, starting his seventh season, is next. Triton was held to 150 yards in its win over Kasson-Mantorville but won with a stingy defense and two interceptions by defensive back Eric Selthun. The Cobras have allowed only 10 points in two games.
