EYOTA -- The funeral for Luanne G. Holst will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Eyota, with the Rev. Jonathan Vollrath officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery in Lake City.
Mrs. Holst, 57, of Eyota, a former Crenlo employee, died of cancer Tuesday (Oct. 12, 2004) at Midwestern Regional Medical Center in Zion, Ill.
Luanne G. Blair was born Sept. 10, 1947, in Glenwood, Minn., moved to Kevin, Mont., when she was 5 years old and was a 1965 graduate of NTC High School in Sunburst, Mont. On Sept. 10, 1966, she married Roger Holst at Bethel Lutheran Church in Rochester, and they made their home in Eyota. She worked for Crenlo in Rochester for 18 years and then worked with her husband in the trucking business. Mrs. Holst was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Eyota and enjoyed gardening, boating and reading.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Jodie (Dennis) Pennington of Lake City; a son, Todd of Eyota; six grandchildren; her mother, Jeanette Blair of Eyota; a brother, Jim (Marleen) Blair of Shelby, Mont.; and a sister, Wendy (Merlin) Hermanson of Utica. Her father and a brother preceded her in death.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Schad &; Zabel Funeral Home in Eyota and an hour before the service Saturday at the church.
