KASSON — A memorial service for Lucille A. "Lucy" Beaver will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kasson, with the Rev. Ronald Jensen officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Kasson.
Mrs. Beaver, 92, formerly of Kasson, died of natural causes Sunday (Nov. 9, 2008) at Fairview Care Center in Dodge Center. She had been a resident of the care center for 11⁄2 years.
Lucille Maske was born Nov. 15, 1915, in Rochester. She grew up in Rochester, then graduated from clerical school in Minneapolis. She worked in Rochester at banks. On Sept. 3, 1938, she married John Arthur Beaver in Kasson. The couple made their home in Kasson, where her husband was co-owner of Beaver Hardware. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, and enjoyed golf and playing bridge.
There are no immediate survivors. She is survived by six nephews and two nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1990.
Friends may call an hour before the service at St. John’s Lutheran Church. There will be no reviewal.
