ROCHESTER — The funeral Mass for Lucille E. Mueller will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Rochester, with the Rev. Timothy T. Reker officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Mueller, 79, of Rochester, died Friday (April 11, 2008) at Saint Marys Hospital, following a lengthy illness.
Lucille DuRocher was born Jan. 25, 1929, in Monroe, Mich. She attended St. Mary’s Academy in Monroe, then moved to Rochester and began at Saint Marys School of Nursing. She served in the Navy for two years, then returned home. On Sept. 30, 1952, she married Leo "Ted" Mueller in Rochester. Mrs. Mueller went to work for the old State Hospital in Rochester and then the former Olmsted Community Hospital. She later took a job with IBM, retiring after more than 25 years of service.
Her husband is a retired carpenter; he survives. Mrs. Mueller loved working with ceramics, cooking and being with her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mary "Alice" (Dan) Talmo of Rochester; five grandchildren; a great-grandchild; five siblings, Dwight J. DuRocher of Hawks, Mich., Mark B. DuRocher of Perris, Calif., Joe (Kathryn) Maniaci of Monroe, Mich., Clint (Marian) Brant of Maybee, Mich., and Roe (Marilyn) Paielli of Troy, Mich. She was preceded in death by a son, two brothers, three sisters and a half sister.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Macken Funeral Home in Rochester, and an hour before the service Wednesday at St. Francis Catholic Church.
The family prefers memorials to St. Francis Catholic Church or the American Cancer Society.
