Athletics loses twice in Randolph Holiday Tournament
RANDOLPH -- Lyle/Austin Pacelli girls basketball lost both games played this week in the Randolph Holiday Tournament.
The tournament got off to a rough start for the Lyle/Pacelli girls with a 66-36 loss to New Life Academy on Tuesday night. The road didn't get much easier on Wednesday night with a 56-34 loss to Concordia Academy of Bloomington.
L/P came into the holiday action riding a two-game winning streak, but heads home for the New Year's weekend with a two-game losing streak. Meanwhile, Concordia Academy (4-4) broke a three-game losing skid with the 22-point win over the Lyle/Pacelli Athletics.
"I feel like a million bucks, it's amazing what one win can do for you," Concordia coach Jamie Broman said. "I was not real happy at halftime, but I thought we responded well in the second half."
