The U.S. Bank/Minnesota Lynx Caravan is coming to Rochester on Tuesday, August 24.
The U.S. Bank/Lynx Caravan is designed to acquaint people outside of the Twin Cities with the Minnesota Lynx. Among the events slated for the tour stop is a free basketball clinic at the Friedell Middle School Gymnasium from 4:30 to 6 p.m. The basketball clinic will feature a variety of drills and fundamental skills training. No registration is required.
Lynx players Vanessa Hayden and Michele Van Gorp are scheduled to participate in the caravan. In addition, Prowl, the team's official mascot, along with Lynx head coach Suzie McConnell Serio, Lynx assistant coach Nancy Darsch and front-office staff will also be part of the caravan.
The players, coaches and Prowl will all participate in a question-and-answer period prior to conducting the basketball clinic and an autograph session following the clinic.
The Minnesota Lynx are currently 15-11 (10-4 at Target Center), in third place in the WNBA's Western Conference and on pace to record the team's best record in franchise history.
