MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Police say two toddlers survived a 30-foot-fall fall from a Minneapolis apartment on Wednesday.
Sgt. William Palmer says the siblings, both under the age of 3, fell from the third-story of an apartment along Bloomington Avenue South.
The children’s mother was using the bathroom when the two climbed a piece of furniture, pushed open a window screen and fell. One sustained a broken upper arm while the other had bumps and bruises.

Palmer said charges won’t be filed against the mother.
Last year, the Legislature passed a bill requiring the installation of safety screens on any house or apartment built or remodeled after Jan. 1, 2009.
