PARK RAPIDS, Minn. (AP) — An autopsy has determined that heart disease killed a hunter who was found dead by his deer stand in northern Minnesota.
The Hubbard County sheriff’s office says it got a report Monday evening that 45-year-old Aaron Yund of Columbia Heights was dead and on the ground by his stand.
Emergency responders found him about eight miles north of Akeley (Ay’-klee). They took Yund to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Park Rapids, where he was later pronounced dead.

Yund had been deer hunting with four other males, including his brother. It was the brother who called 911.
The sheriff’s office says an autopsy report from the Ramsey County medical examiner’s office concluded that Yund died of heart disease.
