The victim’s name has not been released, but she’s identified by neighbors and her employer as Ruth Anne Maddox, a reporter for the Shakopee (SHAHK’-uh-pee) Valley News.
Maddox’s body was found after she did not show up for work Tuesday.
Mark Weber, general manager for Southwest Newspapers, which operates the Shakopee Valley News, says Maddox most recently covered schools and wrote feature stories. She had worked for Southwest Newspapers for about 4 1/2 years.
