ANOKA, Minn. (AP) — A 20-year-old Coon Rapids man is charged with second-degree manslaughter in the accidental shooting death of a Fridley High School football star.
A criminal complaint says Samuel Dennis was showing off a semi-automatic handgun to his friend, 18-year-old Emmanuel Bartuoh (BAR’-toh), Friday night at a town home in Fridley when he shot him.
The complaint says Dennis thought the gun was unloaded when he pointed it at Bartuoh and pulled the trigger. Bartuoh was hit in the chest and died.
