Snowboarder injured at Wis ski area dies

LAKE ELMO, Minn. (AP) — A snowboarder severely injured doing a back flip at a Wisconsin ski area has died from his injuries.
Twenty-one-year-old Caleb Szajner was snowboarding at Trollhaugen Ski Area in Dresser, Wis., on Saturday when he tried the aerial flip and hit his head. He was taken to St. Croix Falls Hospital and airlifted to Regions Hospital in St. Paul.
As reported on his Web site, family members were with him when life supports were removed Tuesday, and his heart soon stopped. His organs were donated for transplants.

Szajner had been living in Marshfield, Wis., and attending a nursing program through the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
The funeral is scheduled Saturday at Rock Point Church in Lake Elmo.
