A Stewartville man is in the Olmsted County jail for allegedly sexually assaulting and threatening to kill a Stewartville woman Tuesday.
The 44-year-old man allegedly tied the woman up and would not allow the woman to leave her home, said Sheriff Capt. Joe Loftus. Evidently, the suspect and victim know each other.
The incident occurred sometime before 10:45 a.m., when law enforcement was called.
According to the sheriff's report, the woman, 35, managed to untie herself, crawl out of a window and go to a neighbor's house to call 911.
Loftus said the suspect could face charges including first degree criminal sexual misconduct, false imprisonment and making terroristic threats.
