DODGE CENTER — The 33-year-old Dodge Center man accused of killing his wife and son and trying to kill his two daughters was released from Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester on Monday and taken to a state prison with medical facilities.
According to authorities, Ismael Bugarin allegedly stabbed and shot his wife during a domestic dispute on Nov. 8, stabbed his three children and tried to kill himself after the children escaped to a neighbor’s home. His wife, Teresa, 27, died in their Dodge Center mobile home. His 12-year-old son, Ismael "Nick," died at the neighbor’s house. Two daughters survived.
Bugarin has been charged in Dodge District Court with two counts of second-degree murder and two counts of attempted murder.

Dodge County Sheriff Gary Thompson said Bugarin has been taken to Minnesota Correctional Facility-Oak Park Heights, which is a maximum-security prison in Stillwater.
