A 61-year-old Rochester man died Thursday afternoon after falling from an upper floor at the Park Towers high-rise senior apartment complex in downtown Rochester.
Olmsted County Coroner Dr. Eric Pfeifer has ruled the death of James Willard Kern a suicide.
Kern lived in an apartment on the 10th floor of the complex, according to police Lt. Dan Muyres. Police were called about 2:15 p.m.
Park Towers is at 22 N. Broadway. Pfeifer said Kern was dead at the scene.
