A female employee at the Holiday Inn in Austin reported to police that a male exposed himself to her while she was cleaning a hotel room Sunday.

According to Police Chief Paul Philipp, the woman was cleaning a room at 2:27 p.m. when she felt someone grab her from behind. When she turned around, a male, who was about 6 feet tall and wearing a ski mask, stated, "You’re my wife," and then unbuttoned his shirt.

When the woman reached for the phone to call for help, the male struck her arm and fled, running down the hotel’s northwest stairway.

According to Philipp, the woman said she had seen the male pacing up and down the hotel hallway before he approached her.

Police are searching for the man.
