Man left bloodied after road-rage attack

NEWPORT, Minn. -- Authorities have asked for help to locate a man who witnesses say blocked two lanes of freeway traffic, jumped out of his vehicle and punched the driver behind him.

Ken Maxwell, the victim, said the angry man coming toward him Tuesday afternoon looked "like a linebacker going to tackle a running back."

Maxwell wasn't able to roll up his windows before the other driver reached his vehicle. "I think my fingers slipped off a couple times," he said.

The assailant reached into Maxwell's truck and punched him in the upper cheek.

"Bang! I was covered with blood -- my T-shirt, inside my truck, my face," Maxwell said. The second punch landed above and behind Maxwell's left ear and swelled into a "pretty good goose egg."
