Many helped with Thanksgiving III

On Saturday, Nov. 24, the Austin VFW hosted the third annual Salvation Army Food Shelf Benefit, "Thanksgiving III."

The goal of the event, started in 2005 by Scott Weichmann and Austin-based Plan B, is to help restock the food shelf for the winter.

This year, three bands provided nearly four hours of music: The Lovers, The Swamp Kings and Plan B. We would like to thank the bands, the VFW, all who made it down that night and the businesses that graciously helped support the event and the food shelf.
