Marcella L. Dulitz — Austin

AUSTIN — The funeral for Marcella L. Dulitz will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Austin, with the Rev. Karen Behling officiating. Interment will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in rural Waltham.

Mrs. Dulitz, 83, of Austin, died Tuesday (Sept. 25, 2007) at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester.

Marcella Lucille Newgard was born July 13, 1924, in Little Rock, Iowa. A graduate of Hayfield High School, she married Arnold Dulitz on July 12, 1944, at Trinity Lutheran Church in rural Waltham. The couple made their home in the Austin-Brownsdale area. They enjoyed camping and later became snowbirds. Mrs. Dulitz was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Austin, was a master of crossword puzzles, and an avid reader. She loved movies, especially westerns, and her family.

Survivors include a daughter, Rebecca "Becky" (Michael) Panter of Charles City, Iowa; two sons, Richard (Shirley) of Marion, Iowa, and Mark of Austin; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at Worlein Funeral Home in Austin, and an hour before the service Saturday at the church.
