WABASHA -- A funeral Mass for Margaret A. "Sis" Schuth will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Felix Catholic Church in Wabasha, with the Rev. Donald Lovas officiating. Burial will be in St. Felix Cemetery.
Mrs. Schuth, 63, of Wabasha, a retired nurses' aide, died Saturday (Sept. 13, 2003) at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Wabasha following a 10-month illness with cancer.
Margaret A. Blee was born Oct. 14, 1939, in Wabasha and graduated from St. Felix High School in Wabasha. On April 18, 1959, she married Elmer Schuth at St. Felix Catholic Church. Mrs. Schuth was a nurses' aide at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Wabasha for nearly 30 years before her retirement in 1999 due to ill health. She was a member of St. Felix Catholic Church and its Council of Catholic Women, and was a member of Wabasha American Legion Post 50 Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing bingo and reading.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Stacy (Jim) Anderson of Wabasha; a son, Daniel of Wabasha; two grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; a stepgreat-grandson; a brother, Donald Blee of Anna, Ill.; and a half brother, Robert Sullivan of Wabasha. Two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Abbott Funeral Home in Wabasha and an hour before the service Tuesday at the church. There will be a Council of Catholic Woman rosary service at 4:30 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
