Mrs. Carle
AUSTIN — The funeral for Margaret D. Carle will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary Chapel in Austin, with the Rev. Jim Van Arsdale officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Austin.
Mrs. Carle, 101, a lifelong Austin-area resident, died Friday (March 14, 2008) at Ostrander Care and Rehab Center, where she had lived for six years.
Margaret Dorothy Rosenthal was born Aug. 24, 1906. She grew up in rural Austin, attended a small Seventh-day Adventist school, then graduated from Austin High School in 1925. She was married to Irvin Carle for more than 40 years; he died in 1969. Mrs. Carle lived at the same address in Austin for more than 70 years, until a fall at age 95 necessitated her move to the care center in Ostrander.
She is survived by four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, a granddaughter, a brother and two sisters.

Visitation will be from noon until the service Wednesday at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary.
