SPRING GROVE — The funeral for Margaret M. Ness will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spring Grove, with the Rev. Zane Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
Margaret Marcella Ness, 93, of Spring Grove, died Monday (Nov. 17, 2008) at Tweeten/Lutheran Healthcare Center.
Born Margaret Marcella Landsom on Aug. 5, 1915, in Spring Grove, she was a 1934 Mabel High School graduate. On Nov. 28, 1940, she married James Ness. They farmed near Riceford for many years before moving to Spring Grove in 1977. Mr. Ness died March 29, 2003.
Mrs. Ness was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and its women’s groups. She enjoyed baking and tending flower gardens.
She is survived by a daughter, Judith (Mel) Ruehmann of Decorah, Iowa; and a grandson, Mark Engebretson of St. Paul. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Julian Landsom.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday at Roble Funeral Home in Spring Grove, and an hour before the service Friday at the church.
