Mrs. Ree
RED WING -- The funeral for Marian E. Ree was at 1:30 p.m. today at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel in Red Wing, with Father Charles Uhlik officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Red Wing.
Mrs. Ree, 85, of Red Wing, died Friday (Sept. 22, 2006) at the Fairview Seminary Home in Red Wing.
Marian Elizabeth Dahlstrom was born March 2, 1921, in Hastings, Minn. She graduated from Central High School in Red Wing. She married Ralph Baringer, and he died in World War II. In 1947, she married Lloyd Ree. He died in 1991. She worked at Northwestern Bell Telephone Co. as a telephone operator, at Red Wing Floral, at the Red Wing shoe factory and in the bakery department at Super Valu. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading, gardening, playing cards, cooking and baby-sitting.
Survivors include two daughters, Diane (Ron) Amdahl of Rochester and Barbara Ree of Wells, Minn.; two grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by a son, two brothers and a sister.
