Marie Elise Heine -- Rochester

ROCHESTER -- The funeral for Marie Elise Heine will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Bethel Lutheran Church in Rochester, with the Rev. Dr. Norman Wahl officiating. A second funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Concordia Lutheran Church of Pickerel Lake in rural Albert Lea, with the Rev. Wendy Anderson officiating. Burial will be in the Concordia Lutheran Church cemetery.

Mrs. Heine, 91, of Rochester, died Thursday (July 27, 2006) at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester.

She was born Aug. 1, 1914, in Albert Lea. She grew up in Conger, Minn., and graduated from Albert Lea High School. She spent most of her life in Conger before moving to Rochester in 1997. She worked at the State Bank of Conger and spent many years working as a bookkeeper at Conger Creamery. On Jan. 26, 1947, she married Ernst Heine at Concordia Lutheran Church. She was an active member of Concordia Lutheran until she moved to Rochester and joined Bethel Lutheran Church. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, crocheting, Twins baseball and word puzzles. She volunteered at nursing homes.

Survivors include two daughters, Ruth of Galesville, Wis., and Alice (John) Ryba of Rochester; a sister, Elizabeth Dale of Rochester; and two grandchildren; She was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at Ranfranz &; Vine Funeral Homes in Rochester and an hour before the services Sunday at the respective churches.
