LeROY -- The funeral for Marion VanGrevenhof will be 1 p.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church in LeRoy, with the Rev. Tom Kolden officiating. Burial will be in Chester HiIl Cemetery near Chester, Iowa.
Mr. VanGrevenhof, 91, of LeRoy, a retired farmer, died Thursday (April 4, 2002) at the Ostrander Nursing Home.
He was born Jan. 5, 1911, in Sioux Center, Iowa, and moved to rural Chester in 1917. He later moved to a farm near LeRoy and farmed there with a brother until moving into LeRoy in 1972. Mr. VanGrevenhof entered Ostrander Nursing Home in October 1999. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in LeRoy.
Survivors include nieces and nephews. Two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at Hindt-Hutchins Funeral Home in LeRoy and an hour before the service Monday at the church.
