Marvin A. Brehmer -- Oronoco

ORONOCO -- The funeral for Marvin A. Brehmer will be 11 a.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rochester, with the Rev. James Kroonblawd officiating. Burial will be in Oronoco Cemetery.

Mr. Brehmer, 63, of Oronoco, a retired Marigold Foods employee, died Thursday (July 11, 2002) at his home.

He was born Jan. 1, 1939, in rural Potsdam, graduated from Elgin High School in 1956 and served in the Marines from 1957 to 1960. On June 12, 1960, he married Donna Prokasky in Rochester. Mr. Brehmer lived in the area all his life and was employed by Marigold Foods from 1960 until his retirement in 2001. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and enjoyed the outdoors and gardening.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, David (Mary) of Eyota, Wayne (Kim) of Oronoco and Brian of Rochester; five grandchildren; two brothers, Herbert (Maxine) of Oronoco and Gerald (Linda) of Wabasha; and two sisters, Eileen Schroeder of Plainview and Shirley (Roger) Bruemmer of Elgin.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Ranfranz Funeral Home in Rochester and an hour before the service Monday at the church.
