Mary Beth Schulte — Rochester

ROCHESTER — The funeral for Mary Beth Schulte will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. John’s the Evangelist Catholic Church in Rochester, with the Rev. Monsignor Gerald Mahon officiating. A private burial will be in Calvary Cemetery at a later date.

Ms. Schulte, 63, of Rochester, died Sunday (March 30, 2008) in her home, of natural causes.

Mary Elizabeth Schulte was born Dec. 5, 1944, in Rochester. She graduated from Lourdes High School in 1962. She worked in the telephone industry for 25 years and retired from Qwest in Omaha, Neb., in 1991. After retiring, she moved back to Rochester, where she worked for her brother at Just Rite Foods for six years.

She enjoyed quilting, sewing and needlework. She applied computer technology to her quilting work. She volunteered at the Olmsted Historical Society in the genealogy research department.

Survivors include three brothers, Ronald (Jan) of New Orleans, Gerald (Donna) of San Diego and Patrick (Sandra) of Rochester; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Macken Funeral Home and an hour before the service Friday at the church.

Memorials are preferred to Lourdes Foundation or the American Heart Association.
