Maxine R. Budin -- Rochester

ROCHESTER -- The funeral Mass for Maxine R. Budin will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Saint Pius X Catholic Church in Rochester, with the Rev. Tom Melvin officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Winona.

Mrs. Budin, 82, a retired beautician from Rochester, died Wednesday (Dec. 25, 2002) at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester following a short illness.

Maxine Rosalia Vondrashek was born Aug. 30, 1920, in Winona, where she grew up and graduated from high school. She attended beauty college and moved to Rochester in the early 1950s. On Oct. 30, 1954, she married Milo J. Budin in Rochester. Mr. Budin was a dietitian at Rochester Methodist Hospital. He died May 26, 1992. Mrs. Budin operated a beauty shop in Rochester and was the former beauty shop operator at Maple Manor Nursing Home in Rochester. She was a member of Saint Pius X Catholic Church and enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and cats.

Survivors include nephews and a niece.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Vine Funeral Home in Rochester and one hour before the service Tuesday at the church. There will be a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.


Memorials are suggested to an organization of the donor's choice.
