ROCHESTER — Mayme A. Bishop, 89, died Tuesday (July 22, 2008) at her home in Rochester.
Mayme A. Nesler was born Aug. 19, 1918, in St. Charles. She attended St. Charles schools and worked for different bakeries and for food services in the Rochester school district. On Oct. 19, 1939, she married Glen D. Bishop in Rochester. The couple made their home in Rochester beginning in 1946.
She enjoyed ceramics and crafts, camping, dancing and traveling.
Survivors include two sons, Gordon (Mary) of Byron and Wayne (Diane) of Burnsville, Minn.; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Ralph (Lorraine) Nesler of Lawrence, Kan.; and a sister, Marge (Ern) Oeltjen of Rochester. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rudolf and Hazel (Larson) Nesler; her husband and three brothers.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Ranfranz & Vine Funeral Homes in Rochester.
