A meeting to inform owners of woodlands covering more than 20 acres about a new tax incentive program to give a financial benefit for owners who manage their woods will begin at 1 p.m. May 18 at the Olmsted County Extension office, 1421 Third Ave. S.E.
The two-hour meeting will explain the Sustainable Forest Incentive Act. The program is administered by the Minnesota Department of Revenue with help from the Department of Natural Resources.
