LANESBORO -- The first of two meetings to help people of Lanesboro deal with the stress of a fire that destroyed downtown buildings, and the subsequent criminal charges against the former police chief, will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. tonight at the Lanesboro Community Center.
The second meeting will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday.
Volunteers from the American Red Cross' emergency services division will be there along with licensed counselors.
"These meetings are designed to provide an opportunity for people to share their experiences and/or concerns, talk about how to explain the issues to their children, or to provide feedback for members of the city council," according to the Red Cross.
