Installation of an electronic message board on U.S. 63 South will affect traffic in the northbound lanes of that highway one day next week.
The work, scheduled for Wednesday, would restrict traffic to one lane between 48th and 60th streets. The work is weather-dependent. Delays are possible between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. the day the work is done.
News of the planned delay was announced in a weekly project briefing from the construction company performing work on U.S. 52, Zumbro River Constructors.

The northbound U.S. 52 off-ramp at Sixth Street Southwest will remain closed through Oct. 30. The construction-related closure also affects Sixth Street, from the highway bridge to 15th Avenue Southwest. Traffic meant for the Sixth Street exit will instead be detoured to the exit at Second Street Southwest.
Starting Nov. 1, at 85th Street Northwest, the east approach to U.S. 52 and a center median opening will be permanently closed. The new way for traffic there to get onto U.S. 52 will be via a new interchange at 75th Street, which opens the same day.
