MANCHESTER, Iowa — An open house for new Delaware County Extension education director Michael Henderson is planned May 15 in the Extension office from 3 p.m.-6 p.m.
Henderson is responsible for the development and coordination of ISU Extension educational programs in Delaware County and administration of the county office located in Manchester. He will also manage the financial and business affairs of the Delaware County Extension Council.
Henderson, originally from Oklahoma, moved here from Ulysses, Kan., where he was a district conservationist with USDA, Natural Resource Conservation Service.
From 1993 to early 2005, he resided near Postville, first working for the Postville Farmers Coop, then in conservation work for the Fayette County Soil and Water Conservation District and as a soil conservationist with NRCS in Waukon.
