Mildred E. Danckwart — Lake City

LAKE CITY — The funeral for Mildred E. Danckwart will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Lake City, with the Rev. David Badgley officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery, Lake City.

Miss Danckwart, 86, of Lake City, died Monday (June 25, 2007) at the Lake City Medical Center-Mayo Health System Nursing Home.

Mildred E. Danckwart was born Aug. 17, 1920, in West Albany Township, Wabasha County. She attended elementary school in California and Wabasha County District 94 in Minnesota.

She graduated in 1938 from Lincoln High School in Lake City. She lived in the Wabasha and Lake City areas most of her life. In October 1987 she moved into the Lake City Nursing Home. She was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Lake City.

Survivors include a brother, William E. (Marjorie) Danckwart of Lake City. She was preceded in death by her parents, William J. and Julia B. (Funk) Danckwart.


Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Schleicher Funeral Homes, Lake City Chapel, and an hour before the service Friday at the church.
