Mildred Jean French -- Rochester

ROCHESTER -- The funeral for Mildred Jean French will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Vine Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Carole Lloyd officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. French, 86, of Rochester, a former Dayton's employee, died Wednesday (June 12, 2001) at Seasons Hospice.

Mildred Jean McKean was born Nov. 16, 1915, in Storm Lake, Iowa, attended grade school in Storm Lake and graduated from Albert Lea High School. On Aug. 2, 1936, she married Carlton E. French in Lime Springs, Iowa. He died March 22, 1977. Mrs. French was a sales clerk at Dayton's for 20 years. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, watching tennis, baseball and football, and fishing on Lake Mille Lacs.

Survivors include two sons, Keith (Donna) of Rochester and Richard (Carole) of St. Louis Park, Minn.; six grandchildren; 10 stepgrandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

Friends may call an hour before the service Saturday at the funeral home.


Memorials may be made to Seasons Hospice.
