Mildred Muriel Lonergan -- Austin

AUSTIN -- The funeral for Mildred Muriel Lonergan will be 10 a.m. Monday at Crane Community Chapel in Austin, with the Rev. Randy Petersen officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Austin.

Mrs. Lonergan, 83, of Austin, a retired nursing assistant, died early Thursday morning (Aug. 1, 2002) at St. Mark's Lutheran Home in Austin.

Mildred Muriel Learn was born June 2, 1919, in Dane County, Wis., and lived in Austin most of her life. After retiring in 1984 as a nursing assistant in pediatrics at St. Olaf Hospital in Austin, she was a part-time driver for Wilde Bus Service. Mrs. Lonergan was a member of Crane Community Chapel, and she enjoyed working with children, traveling, crocheting and reading.

Survivors include three sons, Robert of Kansas City, Mo., Frank of Austin and David (Lauren) of Stillwater, Minn.; a daughter, Mary Lonergan of Fremont, Neb.; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Darlene (Dale) Schmidt of Appleton, Minn. Three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at Worlein Funeral Home in Austin and an hour before the service Monday at the church.
