MINNEAPOLIS — Queen Bey is coming to Minneapolis.

Beyonce on Wednesday, Feb. 1, announced her first new tour in nearly seven years, including a stop at Huntington Bank Stadium on the University of Minnesota campus.

The Minneapolis show, set for July 20, is the 20th stop of the 41-show tour of her "Renaissance World Tour," bringing a live taste of her latest album, "Renaissance," to 26 cities in the United States and Canada, as well as 14 cities in Europe from June until September.

Registration is open for tickets to the Minneapolis show through Feb. 9 through Ticketmaster. Tickets will be distributed to registrants in a lottery-style method, as the tour is expected to sell out.

Can't make the Minneapolis show? Other stops in the region include Chicago's Soldier Field, Detroit's Ford Field and Kansas City's Arrowhead Stadium. A full list of dates and locations can be found on the tour's official website.

Beyonce released the chart-topping and critically acclaimed "Renaissance," her seventh studio album, at the end of July. The record, inspired by Black and queer dance music culture and pioneers, is in the running for the coveted album of the year prize at this year's Grammy Awards, which takes place on Sunday, Feb. 5.

Beyonce's last studio tour was in 2016 in support of her album "Lemonade."

The singer-songwriter faced online criticism last month after performing at the lavish opening of the Atlantis The Royal hotel in Dubai, where same-sex relationships are criminalized.
