Rochester Mayo edged Rochester John Marshall by a single stroke to win its first Big Nine Conference dual meet in boys golf Friday afternoon at Eastwood Golf Course.
Mayo scored 319 and JM was a stroke back at 320.
"We usually have pretty close matches against John Marshall; this was pretty typical," said Mayo coach Neil McCormack.
JM senior Brian Moehnke was the medalist with a 74, four strokes over par. Peter Bouquet led Mayo with 77.
Mayo and JM will compete along with Century and Lourdes in the annual All-City tournament on Tuesday, 1:30 p.m., at the Rochester Golf and Country Club.
