The annual Fall Meeting of the Austin Area Chamber of Commerce will be held at noon Oct. 8 at the Eagles Club. Members are encouraged to attend.
During the election four directors will be elected to the board, and Bonnie Mogen will be honored with the 2008 Lifetime Achievement Award.
Mogen is the owner of Bonnie’s Hallmark in downtown Austin. The award was established to recognize the contributions of longtime community business leaders as well as raise awareness of the role that business plays in community development.
Nominees for the four available director positions include David Olson, owner of Apollo Liquor and Superette; Steve Gleason, of US Bank; Ralph Donkers, of Donkers Hometown Appliances; and Todd Hepler, of Hy-Vee Food Store.
