Montevideo Xpo is April 25-26

MONTEVIDEO — Area businesses will get the spotlight during Montevideo Xpo April 25 and 26 at Heritage Hill.

The Montevideo Chamber of Commerce organizes the event, which has a new venue at Heritage Hill four miles east of Montevideo on Highway 7.

"It's a unique showcase," said Emily Sumner, the chamber's executive director. "Our purpose is to give local businesses a place to advertise and do promotion. There's great networking opportunites for businesses as well."

Admission to the Xpo is free. Area businesses and services, ranging from jewelry sellers to agricultural businesses, will have booths both inside some of Heritage Hill's historical buildings and outside. Visitors will be able to shop, check out new products area businesses are offering and chat their fellow community members. Bounce houses and games will be available for children to take part in. There also will be a couple food vendors, including Moon Creek Ranch and Dad's Belgian Waffles.

"It's a good family-friendly, community event," Sumner said. "It's just a fun time."
