A burglar stole jewelry, cash, savings bonds and a spa set Sunday from a northwest Austin home.
Footprints could be seen in the snow leading up to the home in the 1200 block of Fifth Street Northwest, police Chief Paul Philipp said. A screwdriver appears to have been used to unlock the home’s rear door.
About $5,350 worth of jewelry was taken along with $550 in cash and savings bonds, Philipp said. A spa set of lotions, candles and a music CD also was taken.
The burglary happened between 2:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
