An agreement was reached Friday to allow an additonal 34 Minnesota Timberwolves games to be televised on Charter Communications this year.
These games were originally scheduled to air on KSTC-TV, which is not available on the Charter system. The first game to be televised under the agreement is tonight with the Wolves hosting Dallas at 7 o’clock. The game will be available on Charter Communications, digital channel 980.
"We’re excited about the partnership made possible by KSTC, Fox Sports North and Charter Communications," Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor said in a statement. "We always strive to provide greater access to Minnesota Timberwolves games and this agreement will bring our broadcasts to large communities in Southern Minnesota, including my hometown, Mankato.’’
The "outer-market" areas affected in southern Minnesota include Rochester, Austin, Mankato and Albert Lea.
