Citizens can go online to view Mower County’s list of options for budget cuts.
The county’s eight-page document, which was distributed at a special meeting Wednesday night, now is available for viewing on the Post-Bulletin’s Web site.
County leaders have compiled a list of dozens of options for dealing with major cuts expected in state aid for this year, 2010 and beyond. Some of the options mainly are discussion points but shouldn’t be considered seriously, county officials say.
A similar list of possible cuts being considered by the city of Austin also is available online at the P-B’s site.
